Walker Family Reunion

Welcome to the Walker Family Reunion Website!

Dear Walker Family,

It is with much prayer and heartfelt consideration that the Walker Family Reunion Committee has decided to postpone our family reunion that was scheduled for September.

As many of you know, our family has recently experienced the loss of our beloved Robert Edward. During this season of sorrow, many of our loved ones have come together to support one another, travel to be with family, and share in both grief and remembrance. While we always look forward to our reunion, we believe this is a time to first love on one another, comfort one another, and honor Robert Edward’s life and legacy.

Scripture reminds us in Ecclesiastes that there is “a time to weep and a time to laugh… a time to mourn and a time to dance.” We believe our time to celebrate together will come, but for now, we ask that our family remain united in prayer, faith, and love.

Although we won’t be gathering this September, we encourage everyone to stay connected by purchasing a Walker Family Reunion T-shirt. Wearing our shirts throughout the year is a meaningful way to celebrate our family’s heritage, honor the bonds we share, and look forward with excitement to the day we gather together again.

This decision was not made lightly, but it was made with love and with what we believe is in the best interest of our family.

Thank you for your understanding, your grace, and the love that has always made the Walker family so special. May God continue to bless and keep each of you until we are together again.

With love, prayers, and God’s blessings,

The Walker Family Reunion Committee

Family Crest

The Walker Family Crest embodies our legacy, values, and enduring strength. At its heart, a plum tree with extending roots symbolizes resilience, longevity, and the solid foundation laid by our ancestors. Beside it, an open book with emanating light represents knowledge, creativity, and enlightenment, showcasing our commitment to learning and original thinking. A dove in flight near the tree signifies peace, hope, and unity, reminding us to uplift one another. The rising sun reflects our dedication to hard work, progress, and new opportunities, while the gold trim signifies leadership and excellence, honoring the wisdom and integrity of past generations. Above the crest, a church bell symbolizes faith, tradition, and service to the community. Surrounding the crest, grapevines signify the rewards of hard work and the generational strength that extends beyond our family, leaving a lasting impact.

At the base, our family motto stands proudly: “Strength Through Family.”
